WHY LOGGING IN APPARENTLY HAS NO EFFECT

If you have logged in and did NOT receive any message about your Usercode not being found, or that your Password was incorrect, or that your subscription has expired, you DID log in successfully.

The problem however is that we do not know that you did because your system is not accepting our cookie, which is how we "remember" that you logged in.

This is almost always caused by one of two reasons:

1) Your browser is set to not accept our cookie.
- OR -
2) You are on a network (almost always at your workplace) which does not allow cookies to be set on your computer.

For (2) there is little that you can do about it except to access our site from home.
For (1) you can change your browser options to accept cookies.

TO CHANGE YOUR BROWSER OPTIONS TO ACCEPT COOKIES

INTERNET EXPLORER
* Select TOOLS from the bar across the top of your browser.
* Select INTERNET OPTIONS from the dropdown menu.
* Click The PRIVACY tab. * Click the ADVANCED button.
* Observe whether "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" is checked.
If it is NOT checked, your problem is not with your browser.
If it IS checked, make sure "ACCEPT" is checked under "First-Party Cookies".
* Click all the "OK" buttons you see until the INTERNET OPTIONS popup goes away.

NETSCAPE
* Select EDIT from the bar across the top of your browser.
* Select PREFERENCES from the dropdown menu.
